Now that its installed, my findings are, it has a bigger tone, along with my FlowMaster Mufflers. But, you know not that bad.
What about you guys that have installed the same?
thanks
tony
Too loud?

I have often wondered how the exhaust note would be affected Tony, thanks for the heads-up. :upthumbs

Random Tech and other cats

Found their web site but no prices.
Seen Walker, Catco and other companies make "better flowing catalytics" and was wondering if anyone has experience or the straight poop on them.
Figure better flowing exhaust is the first step in getting more HP and preformance out of my 85.
Will most likely go without a converter( no smog checks here), x pipe to hooker Maxflos. Havent made a header decision yet. And don't know the full implications of eliminating the smog pump.
Heddman makes an affordable on for this year and so does Hooker.
Dont have big budget for this car so I wont be going down Kens path. Just wish I could!

I put the random tech hi flo cats on my 96 after the factory cats were removed when the cam and longtube headers were installed.

Before I put the Random cats on, the exhaust sounded downright "nasty" to my ears......not necessarily nor obnoxiously loud (although it was plenty loud), but the quality of the sound coming through the Corsas was.....I don't know how else to say it,.....was "nasty. Crackly, raspy, not a pleasant nor deep toned exhaust sound at all.

With the Random tech cats, the volumn of the sound has been reduced some, but the main difference is now I have the depth I was looking for. I sacified a few ponies, I'm sure, but it still gets up and goes like a raped ape when I stand on it. And SOUNDS GOOD at the same time.

What more could a guy want? (Don't answer that).

M-D,

Sorry, I had to answer. Probably wasn't the answer that you imagined, though. So here it is: 3.73 D44 and a Procharger or similar :D

Take any photos of the installation?

Thanks.

Oh, I imagined all sorts of responses to that one. Most probably unprintable here, heh, heh, heh. Actually, I could see myself in a twin turbo 427 sbc, 6speed, 9" Ford rear end with 4.10 gears. And then we could talk about what I would have riding shotgun next to me in the passenger seat, ummmm.
:_rock

Sorry, have no photos at this time of the installation. ;shrug
