installing a crate engine

I'm thinking of having a crate engine installed in my 1979 corvette. Does anyone have an idea on what the labor cost should be for this kind of job.

I imagine it's going to vary depending on location.

Here in central NY at a local Vette shop they told me around $750, I couldn't get them to give me a firm price.

I ended up having a friend with a lift do it for $400 I gave him $500 because he did at least as good as some of the jobs I saw at the shop I mentioned.

Your going to have to shop around and check the shops work ahead of time.
You might want to join a local corvette club, I'm sure they can send you in the right direction.

Which crate motor are you going with?
