Intake oil leak

That's exactly what I ordered. Though you got a better deal.

You're happy with the performance of the pinks, I assume?

Can't say anything about their performance. I'm rebuilding my motor this winter and those are going in when the new motor gets built.

However, they come with a lot of positive feedback from many of the forum members here.

I just got off the phone w/ the owner @ five0, he explained to me that the injectors he sells on e-bay are "Take-outs", meaning they have been removed from a crate motor. Some have had minimal amounts of fuel passed through them and he guarantees them for 3 years. The ones I bought are brand new which he guarantees for 5 years. Either way sounds like a good deal.

As a side note, because I also own a Corvette related business, he offered to sell me injectors for L-98, LT-1, & LS-1 @ wholesale in the future. For which I would be more than happy to pass the savings on to CAC members. Stay tuned!

BTW, he reduced my purchase price and should get 'em by Friday too....Nice guy:)

Thanks for the info Edmond!

I can't wait to get everything together. I can't even smell any fuel on the injectors so they probably just started the motor and that was it.

It was a great deal and anything beats paying $65 per Bosch injector. At least that's what they were going for a few years ago.

I've heard some of those crate motors get superchargers installed, so they change out the injectors before they've ever been started. So it is very likely that yours have never had fuel through them. I'm hoping to get mine fired up soon too.

Edmond, you may want to check the length of your pink tops. I just tried to install mine and they're too short. I can't get them to seat into the fuel rail & the intake at the same time. I checked my originals w/ a digital caliper @ 79.66 mm tip to tip. The pink tops are 77.10mm. Over 2.5 mm too short. I rechected the FiveO web site and it shows these to fit '86 Vette. But I didn't get a packing slip so I don't know what part I actually received. I have to call FiveO first thing a.m. Hope yours are the right ones.

I won't find out until I pull everything apart and put it back together. They said that it'll fit TPI Corvette's. I hope they're right! It would be so disappointing to have everything back together but not having the injectors fit.

Let me know what they say.

Spoke to Bruce @ FiveO this morning and he said he is aware of the Bocsh injectors being shorter than the originals. he said to not use the original retainer clips and to center the injectors between the fuel rail and intake to equalize the distance. I don't know how I feel about that idea that the injector is just "floating" in there. I'm gonna start another thread on this one and see if there might be more input.

As long as the injector is not drastically shorter than the original, I doubt if it will be a problem. I have always thought that since the injector is sandwiched between the rail and the manifold anyway, that the clip is unnecessary.

My $0.02,
