I am having a problem with the interior rear window trim /tray being sticky to touch. What should I use to clean the stickyness and what can I use to repaint to original. I purchaed this vette new and it only has 20,000 miles on it. Thanks in Advance!

Strip the old paint off with regular paint stripper. I've used Zinsser Strip Fast.
Don't sand it, you'll loose the texturing.
Of course remove it from the car. You'll need to remove one side of the halo trim in order to swing it out.
I repainted mine with FLAT rustoleum but from a quart with a spray gun, not a spray can. The finish is so much nicer when you can lay the paint on faster and heavier. Color and texture was dead on.

I did 2 of mine because of that stickyness and the other 2 simply because it was so easy. Besides they were all a little scuffed up, just from touching them.

I tryed simple green and then followed up with rubbing alcohol which took alot of rubbing.
After spending hours I decided to take the advice of using the paint remover, that is what I used with great success. Have not yet found a flat black to match yet. With a little more searching I am sure I will find a flat black to match. Thanks !!;)

Krylon 5 ball semi flat black will be nearly a perfect match. You will have to find an industrial coatings distributor in order to get it. New formula Krylon semi flat black is close.
