I've got a 95 that has a irritating problem. SOMETIMES, usually in the morning, the windshield wipers don't work. I go to turn them on, and I get nothing, no sound from the wiper motor, no wiper, no nothing. However, this problem goes away when I push my tab foward for the wiper fluid. The wiper fluid and the wipers work after that point, but thats after I try the wiper fluid thing a MORE THAN ONCE. Secondly, the environment control panel seems to have the same problem, again, this is SOMETIMES. Examples are; I can turn the heat up, but not down. I can get defrost, but not circulating air. These went away after I repeatedly pressed other buttons on the contol panel. These are the only intermittent problems I have. Everything else is good, no problems starting engine, turning on headlights, horn works all the time. Just wipers and environment control.
Any ideas?

Lemme guess

Electronic Climate Control? It could be the unit, its actually pretty small. I had a similar problem with my '90. After disassembling the dash and cleaning all the electrical contacts I haven't seen the problem again.

As far as the wipers dunno' but it sounds like it could be dirty contacts also. The wiper switch sometimes does go bad. Haven't had to replace that ... yet.

:w

I have a 93 that has had problems with the "enviorment control". Taking it apart and cleaning did it for me also.
