Is there any '03 ZO6 Owners that Does Not have Tinkle in Exhaust or Noisy Clutch/Tranny. My '03 ZO6 has a very annoying Tinkle Noise, happens on Deceleration and on Mild Acceleration. Additionally, when I put my car in neutral, like at a stop lite, the car sounds like an old washing machine. I've had it in to the Dealer 2X and I am told this normal for the breed. However, before purchasing my current ride I test drove 2 other C5 ZO6 and did not experience the problem. Therefore, if there are other '03 ZO6 Owners that are not experiencing these problems; I need to hear from you! I plan on taking a tough stance and pursue recourse.

My 02 doesn't tinkle...but the trans is noisey. I put dynamat extreme around the shift shaft and it's a lot quieter now. All of the 01's, 02's and 03's I have been in don't tinkle but have noisey transmission's. Normal for the Z06.

Exhaust Tinkle..

I think I'd smack anyone who'd dare Tinkle in my exhaust...That's what public restrooms are for!

Remember the Z06 doesn't have the sound deadener that the regular corvette does, also has thiner glass, My 02 had this jingle that your talking about but It didnt bother me just something I noticed if the stero was turned down...and I don't remember the tranny giving off a noise louder than I could handle listening to??

your Z06 is basically a race car for the street dont think it is going to sound like with a Cadillac or a Mercedes on the inside....

Exhaust Jingle

I have the exhaust jingle and when I shut off the engine it sound like someone dropped a bag full of tools. I have a 2003 Z with less than 3000 miles. I love the mean machine but for 50k they should be able to refine these annoying problems. I don't think you will accomplish much going to the dealer, most dealers mechanics aren't qualified to work on high performance vehicles.

You need to talk with some of the engineers that designed the beast!
