Is this right?

My brother and I were partners in a business. He recently passed away. His company car was a 99 C5 Conv. I can not bring myself to sell it so I took it to the dealer for needed service. Anyway one of the things it needed was plugs and plug wires. The price for this item was $496.00 of this $221.00 was labor. Is this correct? I have owned 5 BMW's and currently have an M5 and a M3 and have never paid this much for plugs and wires.

Personally, I think you got ripped off! IMO if the car isn't under warranty, avoid dealers!!! This kind of auto service is outrageous. I also have a BMW 330 CiC, and I agree that top notch service doesn't have to be that expensive. I would write a letter to GM about that incident.

How many miles are on the car? I find it hard to believe that this car even needed plugs or wires.

Scream bloody murder. The wires are 105 (retail) and the plugs , the high dollar Itanium NGK's are $8 a pop. So that would roughly $170, took me about 1/2 hour to change all 8 plugs and wires, so they are charging you $400/hour (roughly).
