Yes I believe it is. It sold thru MAD for 5k I think.
Josh, I do remember the original Sledge nose in the Mid America catalog in the early 90's for 4k or so - In the pic, it is tough to tell for sure (based upon the openings) Has anyone seen this "display" in person??

BTW - the Blue C12 Speedster shown is now in the Otis Chandler collection in LA :cool

Chris, the pic is too small but the original nose from the Sledge has Reeves' autograph on the top of it.

The pic is a scan from Corvette Mike's latest newsletter.

You know I've been there at least 1/2 a dozen times and I never looked
up high on the wall.

I will ask them about that.

Yeah, I just got that in the mail the other day and noticed it :cool

...next time you are out that way, check it out if you can - Thanks :m

Got word by our Chief Investigator Luigi that that is indeed the nose off the Sledgehammer that made the historic run, slicing through the air @ 254.76 mph @ TRC in 1988 :eek

It was purchased at auction & signed by Reeves to raise money for the Corvette Museum :cool
