i had idle surge and misfiring. the wires in 6 of the injectors were compromised over time by achohol in gas. inactivity because of stroke did not help. 8 new injectors and its running perfect. idle is so smooth and all hp and torque said "were back" dworkin chevy dealer minutes from my house has a young corvette specialist named paul. he checked turbos, wires, plugs, leak test, fuel pressure etc etc. all are fine. only the resistance in injector wires came up bad. naturally i was hesitant about going to anyone but callaway. because of my physical condition and them being in a busy period i took a shot. corvette folks around my area swear by paul. they were right. who would of thought. thank you paul...

close , derby ct. ill ask if he worked in new haven. but u are right about the c4 and up specialist part. he really knows the c4 in and out.
he is trying to become callaway certified but i guess its not easy.
he has my vote and i am paranoid of dealers service

Sounds like your injectors were releasing fuel when they shouldn't have. The symptoms were the same as leaky injectors. They just started using 10% alcohol in our area, and alot of the older style cars don't have stainless or anti corrosion injectors, so my guess is that alot of folks, especially the ones that have garage queens are gonna be replacing their injectors prematurely.

And a very specialist thank you to Callaway for assisting with certain specifications for the Microinjectors and parts acquisition.
I could not have done the CORRECT repair without Joann and the staff at Callaway.
Tuned port injectors, and really all injectors in the 80s are having difficulties. Resistance values should always be 16.5 for the standard injectors. When the resistance values change, the electrical load changes and therefore, some injectors will fire, some wont. This is what produced the problems.
Oh, and thank you Jim, for having faith in my capabilities.
