since I have been here. I got married in July. August was a total blur and I started working full time in September. My youngest is in 4th grade and has about 45 minutes of homework each night! And there are days when I am not so sure if I AM smarter than a 4th grader. Why anyone needs to know about line segments is beyond me.

I also haven't had my laptop since April so finally after procrastinating for months I brought it in to be fixed and viole here I am.

I haven't driven my vette since Oct/Nov 2006. The new motor and tranny are pretty much ready to go but we spent most of the spring and summer working on my oldest sons 60 Oldsmobile. It really did come out great and he loves the car. It gets a lot of attention and I think he likes that.

So I guess just like when your on a diet its hard to hang out in an ice cream parlor, I kind of got a bit sad coming here and hearing about all the great times the majority was having with their cars while my car just sat.

Well today was a pretty exciting day. I told my husband last week that the only thing I wanted for Christmas was for him to install the engine and tranny by May 1st. I figured come March the vette would move into the garage but he surprised me and the last 2 days has been all about shuffling vehicles around. It wasn't easy and I am sore and I didn't do nearly the work my honey did.

Sadly there were some casualties to the Pickup and the El Camino but the firebird and Vette were unscathed - I was really worried about the Firebird getting hit by the El Camino.

So the firebird was towed out first on a contraption he built, then the El Camino came out, then we got the firebird back in first into the garage and then the vette. He of course had to do a few burnouts while putting the vette away!

Below are some pictures for anyone who has read all the way through.

So I am here to stay and sorry if I was selfish, it was just a sore point not being able to drive it and I just had to sort of put the vette out of my mind.

It's nice to be back and I have enjoyed the threads I have read. The one about feeling about about about the ebay car and the comments about it had Rick and I howling!I look forward to being a more active member :w

Unplanned step 3
the crash:

Rick was bumming, the only part on his truck that was pristine was the tailgate.

My son the photographer of the day on the El Camino:
