Just bought our first Corvette

Hello everyone, My wife and I just bought our first Corvette. It is a 1979 and silver colored with a blue interior. I don't know all the details about it yet. All I know is that it belonged to my wife's father and that he had bought it new. He didn't drive it very often. He was killed in a construction accident this past spring, we knew we had to keep it in the family. So when his estate auction came up yesterday, we bought the Vette. I don't know much about Corvette's and that is why I am here. The plan is to surf around this forum and learn what I can.

First of all, welcome to the group. Congratulations on the new purchase. There is a lot of great information here and everyone here is eager to share stories. Sorry to here of the circumstances involving the car becoming available to you. I think it is great that you will keep it in the family.. It makes it a lot easier when researching info on the car.
