K & N? Too much oil???

Just remembered another cause of tune problems (after posting in several of your threads), and I can't check / edit them all again.

If you put too much oil on your K & N, it will foul the Air sensor / Air mass element, and will foul other sensors too. The computer doesn't like that.

Not a Problem. I've run a K&N filter in my 2003 LS1 for years and absolutle no problems.

You hit the problem with there.

K&N filters (Green filters, etc.) do not come with too much oil on them. It the users that clean them and then put tooooooo much oil on them that create the problem. I've used K&N filters for years in my Vettes (C4/5/6) and my CTS Vs and have not had any problem with them and they work really good for a looooong time.
