Key FOB Issues

Key FOB doesn't stay in synch. Tried taking it apart, cleaning the contacts, making sure traces are intact, pins in contact, new battery, etc. Any way to test the receiver before taking to the lone dealer in a one Chevy horse town? I pissed them off over a steering column lock issue recently and I know they want to bend me over the Service Desk first opportunity.

Keyfobs

I recently obtained a 2001 that did not have key fobs with it. I ordered a pair (#1 and #2) of new fobs for about $50 total from Keylessride.com. They arrived quickly and the programming instructions were included (in case you do not have your owner's manual). Everything worked as intended the first time! Hope this isn't too late for you and the dealer.

To the OP, did you try reflowing the solder on the chips inside the fob? They are notorious for cold solder joints.
