Key FOB won't stay synch'ed. Took it apart, cleaned contacts, inspected the pins with magnifying glass, changed battery, synch'ed again while standing on left leg only with the eye of a newt in my left pocket. 5 minutes later lost synch (I assume due to rolling codes). I was going to "re-teach" the transmitter, but the process of trying to reach that function via the OPTION button on the DIC doesn't want to cooperate and it goes straight to QUICK CONFIGURE.

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

I would suggest removing the negative battery cable to reset the modules.

Then, go through the DIC and attempt to reprogram the transmitter.

Thx Paul, I tried but did not stay synch'ed. I'm now 100% sure it's the transmitter though. I noticed that when it did synch, the Passive Lock/Unlock was active even though the slider was in OFF position. I then took it apart and covered up the carbon contacts for the slider so that it had to be in OFF mode and synched again. Sure enough I walked away and the Passive Lock went active. I'm not up to surgery and trying to replace the PROM when it's a $79 part.

Off to the Show Me state this week to pick up D's leftover tire/wheel combo (thanks D). I figured he'd have posted pic by now.
