KILL switch C3

Tried to drop the steering column on my 73 to access the ignition but couldn't get it to drop even after undoing the bolts at the column located at the bottom of the driver side passenger compartment. Any ideas on how to access the purple wire to install the kill switch?

Auto? The neutral switch is under the console. Clip the purple wire there and it's dead. Manual? Follow the clutch pedal arm up- the switch is on the support under the dash. Are you wanting to just keep the starter from turning or make the whole car dead? You can also go to the starter and "reroute" the fusible links. That will kill the power to everything.

The purple/white wire at the neutral safety switch i think, or it might be just the purple wire, been a long time.
Put the switch under the ashtray or wherever you want
