Hey guys,

I just finished busting my butt on a pair of ready to ship brackets and arms for an electric headlight conversion "Killer Lights" kit.

See more on my website www.mcspeed.homestead.com under "our products"

All you need to supply is a pair of new or used 1993-1997 Firebird headlight motors, control module, and 84-89 Corvette Headlight switch (fits in the factory spot), as well as wire pig tails.

$125 plus $4.95 shipping.

There are only two sets at this time.

I roughed in the brackets...you or your installer can polish, paint, and finish them off as you please. There is excess metal on these brackets that can be trimmed off for a more sleek look as desired.

Just email me at

chrisnikki@juno.com

I have a third pair of brackets ready to go, but I am out of the donor car actuator arms. As soon as I get more of those I will have that bracket set complete.

Ooops, I forgot to add, these brackets can be marked and drilled to fit either electric motor combination.

That is the F body 93-97 firebird, or the C4 style lotus/sunbird motors.

Just specify which you intend to use, and I will mark/drill the other hole for you.

And these just bolt to the stock mounting points, right?

Are the electric assemblies any smaller than the vacuum actuators?

Take a look at the pics on my site under "our products", and you can examine the size. It is a whole different look and fit than stock.

This requires a slight mod to the stock headlight mount assembly, that won't prevent it from going back to vacuum at a later date if desired.

Great news!

I just found another donor car arm that was tucked away in my lunch bag. I guess I brought it to work to show somebody and forgot it was there.

What this means is I now have a third set available. I still have to cut down some spacer tube, threaded rod, and prepare two clevis mounts....but the hardest work is behind me.

Here is a pic of the "surprise" third set. I thought I was going to have to hit the junk yard to get this set complete....but not now!

I'm not sure if I can really see the size from those pictures. I'm mostly just curious if it will have any effect on reducing the airflow restriction in that area - the stock vacuum actuators seem to be a significant blockage.

Another question comes to mind: how does the installation differ with the pre-made brackets? Is the 90-degree drill still required, or was that something that was used in the bracket assembly phase?

Also, are you including plans with the bracket kits? Or do plans still need to be purchased separately?

I got a few other things that need attention, first, but this is something I would definitely like to do at some point - I want to eliminate as much of the vacuum systems as possible.

It looks like these three are sold to:

Last Ride- Bryan
Dream_Driver - Clifton (pending some more info)
81LT4--Southside from Texas.

Joe,

I see what you are asking now, and the answer would be these are "less" of a blockage than the stock units. Overall size would be smaller than the vacuum actuator.

The 90 degree drill tip would be used for installing the brackets on the car, especially with the hood in place. You could mark the drill holes and punch them through with a dremel if you can't locate a drill head. Or...just remove the headlight assembly and drill the mounting holes out on the workbench.

The brackets are also the templates for the marking and drilling, so that saves some time and effort.

Yes, I would supply the installation info if you had not already bought the do-it-yourself plans, as it covers the same info.
