I'm having a terrible time keeping these things from lossening up on me. I have had one wheel fall off, luckily no damage. I noticed that the lug nuts sold at some vendors appear to be 1" or more long. Mine are more like 3/4" a standard size. I ordered new lugnuts for knock-offs, this may help??

I have some minor egging on two of the wheels is this the kiss of death? Or can I salvage these??

My last resort is to buy a set of the bolt on knock off repros!

Any advice or help is appreciated

If the lug nuts protrude from the surface of the adapter more than the depth of the lug nut clearance holes in the wheel, you'll never get them tight with the spinners - I'm assuming you have the wheels properly indexed on the adapters when you install them - lug nuts in the five large holes, and pins in the five smaller holes. If any of the drive pin holes are "egged", that will just make it worse as the pins work back and forth in the "egged" holes with acceleration and braking loads, which will cause the spinners to loosen (and will gradually make the holes even more egg-shaped). They can be refurbished by boring the pin holes oversize and sleeving them.

It sounds like thy're not tight enough. I ran a set of stock knock offs for years and found the best way to keep 'em tight was to paint the threads of the hub with NEVER SIEZE and then using the lead hammer to seat the spinner nuts snug. Then use a 20# sledge or equiv to finish the job and cushion the spinner with the lead hammer while tightening them up. After this, mine never came loose and were eay to take off.
