Help! Knock sensor, again

Hello All,

Replaced knock sensor 6 or so years ago and problem was resolved. Again out of nowhere code 43 shows up again with the same senerio. Only when I start the car, the aux fan engine compartment comes on and the Service Engine Soon light appears. As soon as I drive away the code clears and the fan turns off. This is exactly what has happened before. Could the sensor be bad again? Any suggestions appreciated...

I'd check the connector before assuming that the sensor was bad. I 've many C4 owners that never touched that sensor...its not one that fails as others do.
