Whats the largest tire that will fit a C4? Has anyone tried to run a 275/55(rear)?? Thanks

I have a set of GSC 315/35/R17's(rear) on my 95 coupe. Haven't noticed any scrubbing, and the car hooks pretty well on a warm tire.

Running Michelin Pilots 275/40 17''s on all 4...

Runs and handles sweet

I am running 285/40/17 on all four... no problems... except the rear tires need replacing sooner than the front ones... can't figure out why...... :L

When I bought my Vette it had Michelin Pilot 335-35-17's on the rear. Man that was 1 wide @ss tire. Have since replaced them with Goodyear GSC 315-35-17's.

A friend of mine has 335's on all four corners. They did rub out the inner wheel wells, but that doesn't hurt them. And they do rub against the chassis in the front at full turn, but only just. He says the setup was wonderful for autocross.

He's also run 315's all around and says they fit without rubbing.
