I just replaced my battery and encountered this problem. My instrument cluster was working before batt change. I do have problems with backround lights not making good contact within cluster but it has been manageable and I have been OK with that problem. My LCD display is visible w/o backround lighting but it comes up and then goes right out, from left to right, no LCD read-outs what-so-ever. Fuse is blown and this is happening. As soon as I go to replace with a new fuse, it blows. I checked the Volts across fuse with key off and out of ignition and it is reading 12V. Not sure how to read schematic and could use some help. Thanks!
