Leafspring bolts

So, i decided to replace the leaf spring bolts and rubber cushions in my 82. It has a fiberglass leafspring. My question is, should the holes in the spring line up directly with the mounting holes in the trailing arm? My leafspring holes are a good inch back which sets the bolts at an angle obviously. It's that way on both sides.
Thanks!
ps tried to post a pic but couldn't get it to download

Mine angle out to the trailing arm at the top. Not an inch but my cushions are pretty flat and cracked so I'm sure that alters the angle some. I wish I hadn't looked. One more thing onto the to do list.
