Hi, can anyone help me on the removal and replacement of the rear leaf spring cushion retainers on my 68. I can't find anything in the 1968 service manual. I have the spring to trailing arm bolts removed but would like to replace the cushion retainers also. They appear pressed in somehow. Easy or not so easy to do? Does anyone have any procedure that I can print out showing how it is done and what tools are required?

Thanks,

Gary

Retainers

Gary,
Not sure if this is what you need but my 68 Chassis Manual states the following:

"Replace main leaf spring cushion retainers by chiseling over flared portion until retainer may be knocked out of leaf. Place new retainers into position and flare over with a ball peen hammer or other suitable tool"

Hope this helps!
