I have to admit, Jedi, that I've never heard of Leather Mate. ;shrug

For years, I used Lexol- and I found it to be a great combination of the leather cleaner and conditioner, but it does take two separate steps in application, which can be time consumptive.

Zaino makes a leather cleaner & conditioner all in one, and I think it works as well as or better than Lexol. The disadvantage is that you can only get it from a Zaino dealer, which means it harder to find (Lexol can be found at any Ace Hardware store), and Zaino will be more expensive.

What can you tell us about Leather Mate?

I have used Lexol for the past two years and it just does not do it for me. Unless I am reading the directions wrong it just does not give me the cleaning/condition I am looking for.

I know that Leather Mate did an awesome job on my boots, which I have worn to hell and back. Horse poop, mud, oil from my bike, wadding through streams, you name it those boots were well worn. When I used the Leather Mate on them they cleaned up real nice and got soft again. So I want to try them on my seats but worried it might effect them in a bad way.

Have you tried Leatherique. I have used it for years and have no complaints. They have a WEB site about their products. I have used it on my seats at car shows and nobody can believe how good they look.
