Leather sport seats getting stiff

Hi,

My leather sport seats are getting a bit stiff these days. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to soften up the leather?

Saddle soap will help. I hate to knock Zaino, but I used the cleaner & treatment & ended up with the leather squeaking everywhere it touched leather , etc. The Saddle soap cured the problem.

Made it more pliable............In any event, it's an excellent cleaner. Got a friend with a horse & thats all they use.

You should never, ever use saddle soap on leather seats for cars. It says right in my owner's manual "do not use saddle soap to clean your leather seats". I'm surprised that people still give advice like this.

Leather is a finicky creature and must be treated well. Using the wrong product (saddle soap, for instance) will accelerate the aging process of the leather.

There are plenty of leather reconditioners on the market, but the best one I found on the internet is from leatherique.com, specifically their rejuvenator oil. Leathermagic.com is another good company, their leather conditioner works well too.

I have to take exception to that. I have a El Dorado, with leather & the owners manual specifically recommends Saddle Soap for the leather seats. I have been using it for years, always with good results. The difference may be that the quality of leather in the Cad is much better that the junk they put in the vette.:Twist
