Leave it to a Waltrip...

This stuff is killing NASCAR, gave up my season tix for both the Richmond and Charlotte races a couple years ago because of the "team" games. With the enormous amount of money to field one car, it's impossible for keep the team concept out of the sport so I don't really have a solution to it. Just a shame.

Dale Jr was behind Boyer and said it was the craziest thing he ever saw. Boyer was hitting his brakes and gas and jerking the steering wheel for no reason. He almost got into Dale too.

Jr ought to know a BS spin from a real one - he did one himself a few years ago.

Just heard it on the radio. It was done right even though I feel for Truex. He didn't conspire but putting Ryan back in was only right. We need to remember that it was the points fine that caused the switch in drivers.

Gordon should be in too.

It's like a ring full of pro wrestlers...

NASCAR's been on a slippery slope for years, attendance heading in the wrong direction, more commercials during a televised race than soap operas, and one of the big three(or is that two now) pulled out last year, real sad for a great sport that got its start back in the day running shine thru the hills with real stock cars. :rotfl

It was just Dodge because they no longer had an anchor team (build engines, chassis and hang bodies in house) that could do it all and run 2 or more cars. They had the new car ready but refused to just run with a 2nd tier team. Can't blame them. We may see them back next year There has been talk of someone changing brands. As for attendance they haven't suffered percentage wise any more than any other spectator sport. Slick and ball sports would kill for the numbers that show up for races even when there are a lot of empty seats. Have you seen the stands at a baseball game lately? How do they keep the lights on? When you have a race track that has 40,000 seats and it's half full it looks bad. Compare that to 2000 on a good day at a baseball game. Personally, I like the lighter crowds. Butt to butt at MIS was no fun in the '90s. Now we can spread out and breath. Eldora was standing room only for the truck race but that was a different deal.

I agree. Gordon got screwed on this deal. Considering his recent history with Boyer the chase races may get real interesting.

Agree with ya.MWR &friends largest penalty/fine in NASCAR history.

Farcecar

People still watch this sh1t? Who's fault is that? Stick a knife in it.

...and I'm fearing for that conglomeration called United Sports Car next year. What will the Vette team have to put up with there? :ugh

[h=5]NAPA KNOW HOW[/h]about an hour ago near Atlanta, GA

Dear Facebook Fans and the NAPA Community:

After thorough consideration, NAPA has made the difficult decision to end its sponsorship arrangement with Michael Waltrip Racing effective December 31, 2013. NAPA believes in fair play and does not condone actions such as those that led to the penalties assessed by NASCAR. We remain supportive of the millions of NASCAR fans and will evaluate our future position in motorsports.
