How's about helping us all out and name names so we don't get burned the same way you did?

redemption

Not Just Vettes,New York I might be biting my self But I haven't recived my stuff yet,so the nightmare might not be over. This is my first rebuild of a Vette, was in to Jeeps never had a problem with aftermarket suppilers Parts always timely good tech service . These people in New York are attemping to redeem them selfs offered free shipping,But that still dosen't make up for lost time which carries no price tag!

Do your self a favor and stay with known companies next time. I have excellant reesults using Bair's and ZIP.

I know what you mean from lost time there is no price tag...I order my engine like 2 moths ago it finally ships tuesday! the deadline for the car to be painted, transmission rebuilt, rearend rebuilt, and rear suspension to be done is may 2nd...CAN YOU SAY DEADLINE!!! But anyway good luck I hope you get your stuff...I have only been ripped off once since I started restoring cars and that was from my 67 chevelle.

late parts

On the topic of late parts...I'm going to jump into this thread with a story of my own..I live in central Canada and ride time of my corvette is only about 3 1/2 to 4 months max... so in the planning I ordered seats from Eckler's 4 weeks before the season... well 6 WEEKS later still no seats... I called them up (not a happy camper)and I guest what happened was Eckler's didn't put a list of box content, the border sent it back to them...So 9 WEEKS later, 5 weeks into my driving season I get them..

Its not really the time it took that ****ed me off its the fact they didn't call and let me know whats happening...

I'm sure they won't miss me but Eckler's NEVER again!!

hmmmm that's odd. I always thought Ecklers was good. I've personally never had a problem with them, but your situation is not a good one.

I've had a terrible time with Mid-America the last two times. Shipping as much as 7 days after they said they would. Saturday I threw away their catalog, I won't be using them again.:r

Well that pretty much rules out all of the aftermarket vendors I like. ;)

I was just typing this post when I saw this thread so I will post it here as well.

With all of the complaints we get about parts vendors giving poor service, parts on back order, etc., etc., I think that we should mention those merchants who go out of their way to provide good service.

After my window was smashed and the stereo stolen last week I found 2 great merchants on the net. I would like to recommend them to everyone on the forum.

LakeChevrolet. I placed the order on Friday afternoon. They emailed me 3 times with the order status. The window was shipped the following Tuesday and arrived here in Spain 3 days later.

MyPushCart (eBay store) I ordered the top of the line Crimestopper alarm. With the order I ask about adding an ultrasonic sensor. They answered my question within ½ hour and told me that I would need some diodes that they would ¨throw in the box along with a wiring diagram¨. The alarm arrived in 4 days.:Steer
