Lingerfelter Engines

Does anyone have any inputs to the 383 Lingenfelter engines? I found a 96 CE LT4 6sp with the 383 Lingenfelter engine... Says it does 450hp? Is this for real? Whats the mpg on this car? I assume you can't drive it everyday as a daily...
Any comments would be appreciated.

Guessguy,

This info is coming straight out of Lingenfelter's latest catologue:
  • Custom forged aluminum pistons
  • Custom forged steel crankshaft- 3.750" stroke
  • Billett steel connecting rods- 5.850" length
  • File fit plasma moly piston rings
  • Computer balanced rotating assembly
  • CNC ported cylinder heads & hand ported intake manifold
  • Stainless steel one piece valves- 2.00"intake / 1.56"exhaust
  • Comp Cams Stainless steel full roller rocker arms- 1.6:1 ratio
  • Heavy duty double valve springs
  • Titanium valve spring retainers
  • Custom designed hydraulic roller camshaft

'96 CE

If the '96 is priced right you might be in for a major bargain. I go by Lingenfelter's often if anybody would like me to pick up an engine. Of course I would be more than willing to pre test it for you. :D
