Lockup problem

I have a small problem with my lockup wiring.
When changing to a 700R4 I didn't change the wiring from the car because it should be the same as needed for the 700R4 (in which I did change the wiring). I only needed a key on 12v course with brake switch interuption. No problem there but when connected the lockup will go on and stay on, no disconnecting it!

I checked the wiring to the transmission. Wire A should be the right wire and has key on 12v but still has 12v when pressing the brake switch, even has 12v disconnecting the connector at the brake switch! :confused I checked the other 2 wires (one should be ground and the other not in use (should be for the 4th gear lockup if our ECM had that option). But now even these 2 wires have 12v.

I looked in the wiring diagram to see what the problem could be but I didn't even find the transmission connector. I remember that the wiring harness for the transmission is separate from the engine bay wiring but couldn't find the connector. Could somebody check for me if they have the same 12v with the key in acc position, or give me some directions where to find the connector in the wiring diagram or the connector for the transmission harness in the engine bay if there is any? (Looking at Gerry :boogie:D;)).

Greetings Peter

Peter,

I only get 0.03 V on A, B, and C at the plug.

I did check with the ignition,"ON", and with "A" I get 12.05 V, B = 11.095 V, and C = 12.03 V.

Perhaps you have a bad ignition switch? ;shrug

Thanks for the fast reply :D

But very strange. So you also got 12v on all 3 with the key at the ON position... And does yours go to 0v when depressing the brake pedal? Maybe I'm seeing things the wrong way....

Peter,

Maybe I misunderstood you. All I did was take a voltage from the 3 pins with the ignition in the "ON" and "ACC" positions. No pedal pressing here. Sorry.:confused

What you did was perfect Gerry. My translation from dutch to englisch could have been better ;) And the pedal pressing and depression (when you press the pedal the brake switch is depressed) is something like the next question. :)

Greetings Peter
