Just purchased a 2004 C5, with 14,000 mi and original run flats in excellent condition. I test dove a 2002 that handled like a dream, but the the 2004 seems heavy and logy...any suggestions...steppan2004

Sorry cant help you with your question, but wanted to

Welcome you to the CAC!

Pretty sure, someone with knowledge about a 2004 will come along and help out.

the 2002 was most likely a Z51; what suspension does the 2004 have?

:w & Welcome

By "Logy Handling" do you mean rides kind of ROUGH.. ;)
I drove a Silver 2003 before finding our 03 Anniversary and the Silver drove and rode great, the Anniversary rode like a 2"x4" sliding down the rode, every little seperation in the pavement was a jolt and the pot holes :eek

If you have the select ride feature, you might want to do a search for Rough Ride or you can review this thread that Helped me Yellow Tags / Shock Stuffers

Welcome aboard and enjoy the :Steer

Welcome to CORVETTE ACTION CENTER; glad you could join us :beer

As far as the rough ride it may be the "Run Flats" I hear the original Goodyears are pretty stiff. I have "Run Flats" on my 2000 C-5 but they are Firestone "Fire Hawks". I will be the first to admit they are rougher than conventional they have to be to run without any air for a period of time. I have drove and rode in C-5's without the run flats and they are smoother but without a spare tire I will put up with some of that to get off the road if I have a flat. This is just me most change them out right away; but then again I don't drive mine everyday either :ohnoes If you have select -a- ride that may be it too; but I bet the one you drove had conventionals and your 2004 has the Goodyear Runflats, it does make a difference ;shrug
