i just cant get it right. no matter what i do i cant get my lokar throttle cable adjusted properly. i thought i had it right but my pedal isnt going far enough to activate the kickdown. with the cable unhooked from the carb, the pedal travels enough to click the switch but if the carb linkage is hooked up it goes to WOT before the pedal is to the floor.

i have tried to install it with the pedal all the way up and the carb at idle and i have tried to install it with the pedal all the way down and the carb at WOT.

every time i end up with either not enough travel on the carb or not enough travel on the pedal.

i have looked at a couple of install instructions around here but i must be an idiot because everyone just says its easy.

Can you slip the cable housing with respect to the bracket? If so, loosen the clamp that holds the housing and set the pedal to the floor. Then adjust the housing 'til the carb is at WOT and tighten clamp.
