Does anyone have one I can download to check for a short.

The interior light is draining my battery and I need to find the routing for it.

Thanks...........

Crtsy1 w/o delay
Crtsy2 w/ delay
Crtsyexpl circuit explanation

I found my problem was the delay between the headlight and tach behind the dash. I left the doors open for an extended length of time and I think I fried it. Ended up taking out the lights because it was too hard to get to the relay.

Bob "thanks" for those diagrams needed these.

Q. Pulling all the fuses, test light on the positive side of the battery, it’s the csty, clock and lighter fuse that is open.

The test light remains on when the fuse is plugged in and out when the fuse is out.

The fuse doesn’t blow; I unplugged the wiring harness from the instrument panel, the lighter has not been plugged in for some time, and the test light remains on.

So I’m eliminating the clock and the lighter, hopefully I’m correct that it’s not those two culprits, and the battery stays charged.

This dome csty light do you think could be the problem. Any problem areas that you might know or heard about?

Does it sound right?

I'm not very experienced on the electrical gremlins. I understand this to be an always on circuit for the lights. clock and lighter so you would expect to find power on it all the time.

I think you are going to need a meter, rather than a test light to find out if the draw is from this circuit. As I understand the procedure, hook up the meter, get a reading and unplug the fuse. If the power draw drops, then the circuit is drawing power. The only thing that would throw me here is the clock because it always draws power to run the clock. I suspect this is minimal and if there is large drop, then perhaps their could be a short of some kind.

As I indicated, I had problems with the delay timer. But this was easy because the lights were always on. I think I read a while back that if your clock is not working, it can place a draw on the battery.

Good luck. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will chime in.

Hey bobchad! I guess the diagrams are in a assembly manual, where did you get yours?

The culprit was the clock it was pulling way too much juice, so I rebuilt the clock with the quartz conversion and that solved the problem.

Thanks everyone.... :m
