LT-4 CE

After tons of research about exhasut sytems, I have come to conclusion that for every optiom, there are 10 opinions (which makes this hobby so cool).

I have it narrowed down to Corsa, Magnaflow, and Flowmaster.

Before I buy new, I wanted to see if any of you had anything for sale, that fits my needs.

Car is a 96, LT-4, 6-speed (Collector Edition).
Magnaflow part number is 15623 (two stainless replacement mufflers)
Corsa I beleive only makes one system for this era C4.
Flowmaster - I beleive makes a cat back system and offers 50 series replacement mufflers (Flos are my last choice because I am not a personal fan of the tips, but if you have added different tips, I would be interested.

Thanks for all of you who have been involved in muffler conversations. I have really enjoyed reading your experiences and opinions!

You might want to check out Power Effects. I read everthing I could before deciding to go with them and I love the sound.
Also, they are adjustable from full open to almost stock when in the closed position. Componets are top quality and fit great. Just my opinion....DGA

A close friend of mine has the Corsa's on his C4 and they sound great - I believe they even sound better than the Corsa's on the C5 - no droning resonance at all and loud, but only at WOT ...

Good luck with your choice ..

My state (OH) has a few counties with emmissions testing, but mine is not one of them and I believe it will be some time before they adopt.

Why do you ask?

Thanks

I was running them for years with my L-98 and it ran just fine, like a good exhaust system should. Then I built a 417-inch small block that is putting out a lot more horsepower which the "Sport" system couldn't handle; it was just too loud. So I went back to Joe Markovicz at L-K and had him send a resonator, usually used for convertible applications, to help quell the resonance. I also had him ship me the "Sound Chambers" (Capsules?) with extra baffling but it still wasn't enough. So I went back under the car and now have a three-inch system all the way out. It's a shame too because I was always getting compliments on the side exhaust. :(

Check it out, I'm selling the system at less than half the cost of a new system, and I'm throwing in the resonators and sound chambers, which were another couple hundred dollars. Such a deal! :D

Callaway Supernatural Cat back - 2.75" dual outlet 3.5" resonator, stainless double D tips $1,593 or, $1,795 w/ band clamps for installation

Without a doubt - the BADDEST sounding exhaust I have heard on a C4...
Not tinny or droning like others - powerful sound.

-2 months ago, a used sys went for 500 bux off an LT4 car in SC - used :)

Just wondering if you had emissions because you could eliminate the catalytic converters for even more power. My ideal setup is running my longtubes into an X-pipe through 3" pipe through Flowmasters.
