Anyone know how the louvers on the back of a 1969 work off the vacuumn switch. Should there be a hose running along the floor board underneath the carpet or what?

Sure ould use some help..

Thanks Don

There are 2 vacuum actuated "flapper doors" located on the bulkhead inside the car. There is a vacuum actuator on the passengers side of these doors which controls both. A thin metal pipe/rubber hose assembly runs under the carpet in the luggage area, then behind the passengers seat. It eventually makes it to the console. The opening and closing of the flapper doors is controlled by the "HEAT" wheel on the console. Hope this helps. Chuck

THANKS! I also wondered how they worked.
