My radiator was serviced just recently and since my low coolant level indicator has been coming on. It is intemittent but is on more then off. It is not low on coolant. How do I fix this?

Thanks

Seems to be an inherent problem with the '86-89's. Lot of posts on the subject. If it's the orignal, 17 yrs is long enough. Replace both the sensor and mod. Easy to do and not expensive at all. I just replaced both of mine and problem solved. No more annoying light.

Just to be sure, check the wiring from the connector of the sensor. Make sure a mechanic didn't nick it or smash it or flub it up somehow. Resistance in that particular wire is important.

sometimes you can pull out the sensor and clean the scale off.it worked on my 89.
Todd.

i recently tried someones idea of letting it run with the rad cap off on my 89'. the light has not come on since, and im glad cause i have bigger problems to deal with on it....

I would try that first. Could be some air pockets stuck in there somewhere.
