Not sure if it's the right way to do it or not, but I used a very thin coat of dielectric grease. I was a little worried that it would possibly harm the rubber - but it's held up for two years now without leaks. I don't know how I would have installed the hose without some type of lubricant.

Complete PITA even when pulling the radiator as I did for my spring project. The radiator was easier going back in with the fan shroud. I might be tempted to remove the front sway bar to install hose.

Agreed, I had the front of my car on ramps , lubed the hose with dish washing soap and coaxed it on . felt like I was up and down like a yoyo for a while working it on but eventually got it.

Lots of dishwasher soap and it went in (still with a struggle.) No leaks and this was about 5 years ago.

If these vettes were easy to work on,any body could do it!!!!
there's nothing like scraped knuckles, and few drops of blood, and a few choice words when working on these!!!!
And when its over some...:beer:beer
