Has anyone lowered there C5, i wanna drop mine alittle. Ive read some of the other forums, does anyone know that bolt size for the rear?

I haven't lowered mine, but using the stock bolts, you can lower it an inch or so.

C5s can be lowered somewhat by using the stock spring bolts, however, you must be careful once you get the bolts near the ends of their ranges. There's some information in the service manual about how far you can go with that type of adjustment.

Beyond that, the aftermarket has some ride height choices.

Keep in mind, the more you lower ride height, the less suspension travel you have. On a base car with stock shocks, you can lower so much that the car is always hitting the bump stops and that makes for a lousy ride.

Coilovers

In the end the way to go is with coilover. The heigth is ajustable and the ride is close to stock.

Wow....those look nice! What comes off the car when those go on? Pricey I would bet.........Are they different for the Z51's?

Your stock shocks and spring get replaced by the coilovers. The coilovers cost about $1700. In my case I also went with PFADT swaybars. My car had the Z51 set up but a customer at the shop that did the work bought my Z51 parts. After I drove the car for a couple of weeks I had the front and rear aligned.

So how is the ride comparision to the stock set up ?.............not trying to hijack this thread just interested in coil overs.......

Just slightly firmer than the stock Z51 suspension.
