LS1 engine swap on an 84 Vette

Does anybody know if an LS1 engine will bolt up in a 84 vette
Will i be able to use the same trans, 700r4 or will i have to use the LS1 tranny.
what problems if any, will i occur during the transplant...

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center. With over a million LS1 style engines already produced by GM this should be the next hot swap. I'm sure this will generate a lot of discussion.
