I read somewhere in the forum how long each wire suppose to be but cant find it again. Do anyone know? I brought some new ones but just want to make sure they all fit before starting on the job:)

I don't know of a chart giving the length of each wire but suggest that you lay the new wires out on a work bench and then take one wire off the car match it up with one on the work bench and install it then go onto the next one etc. Absolutely do not remove more than one at a time and replace it before you go on to the next one.

I found it helped to put the car on jack stands and removed the front tires and inner fenders on my 93. This will give you more room to access the wires. I hope you are also planning to replace the plugs with the wires since you already will have access to them.

Pay particular attention to the route each wire takes and how it is held in place by the wire looms. In fact take closeup pictures as you go along. Beleive me you will be happy if you do because you will not have to trust your memory on what went were.

When I did mine I was replacing the opti at the same time so I had the water pump off the hoses and belt even took off the tensioner. The more stuff you remove the easier it is. I would recommend at least the belt and tensioner as the tight spot is routing under the alternator. The pass side is easier than the drivers side.

Advance Auto Parts computer has notes that will give you the length of the wires. They should be able to print that for you.

I rebuild the whole ignition when i start including new waterpump. Go for MSD opti, MSD 6AL, MSD 32 179 Plug wires and a MSD Coil. The thing is that on MSD´s homepage one costumer claims that 3 of the wires wont fit on a 1993 and i do not want to start before i know that all parts are plug and play:) Thats why i want to know the lenght of each OEM wire so i can check the new ones against original lenght.

Thanks for your repply guys.

Steve
