Thanks for the info, everyone. I'm looking for more specifics though. I'd like the valve opening and closing event timings, particularly the intake closing @ .006". I tried GMpartsdirect.com which indicated that Crane makes GM's replacement cams. I called Crane and they make some, but not the LT1.

Any more ideas?

Ken

what kind of cam are you looking for? specifics as in more HP or a stock replacement?

Mic, right now the info won't have an immediate impact on the Vette. I'm actually building a 396 for a friend's 69 Chevelle and I am pushing the compression ratio fairly high on it (10.5:1, but with healthy cam). This puts the dynamic compression ratio at 7.9, accounting for the late intake closing. My LT1 has 10.5 compression, but with a mild cam, so I was wanting to know what it's DCR is as a reference. Thus, I need to know when the LT1's intake closes past BDC. The rest of the cam timing events would be a bonus. In general, I like to know as much about the Vette as possible.
