Saw the LT4 dyno numbers thread and thought I would ask what the LT1 dyno numbers are. I know I have 300 HP at the crank but through the auto transmission and drive line etc. I'm guessing 250-260 RWHP and 270-280 tq.

I dynoed my 96 auto stock at 245 rwhp and 270 rwtq. That was prior to mods. My last dyno was 336 rwhp and 317 rwtq.

UB 2 Slow: I know you have the LT4 Heads, intake, and I think the hot cam and headers and I'm sure a reprogrammed chip. Of all the mods which was the biggest bang for the Buck?

Numbers reported on my '95 LT1 248/282

For all you unmodified LT1's with around 245-250 rwhp, have you taken your cars to the track? What speeds and times were you able to acheive. I'm trying to get baseline for unmodified performance. Car and Driver says 13.6 @ 103 mph. (6 speed) how close are the rest of you to these stats...

92ghost,

I had a '94 LT1 six-speed that would run 13.6's @ 103 (and some change) religiously. Only modifications I had were a K&N airfilter and a throttle body airfoil. This was at approximately 890 feet above sea level.

The LT1 is a dragstrip dream when it comes to launching. To this day it, was the easiest car to launch that I've owned... so far.

P.S. If I were to do it again, I'd save the 50 or 60 dollars and not buy the airfoil.
