Big improvement over my ported and siamesed tpi. I actually have more torque with the lt1, pulls smoothly from under 1000rpm. I can take off at idle slowly letting the clutch out, just like the stock tpi but no more of the chugging at low speed. It would stall before without revving it to about 1100. Low end feels real strong then really starts to pull at 3000 to about 5200. Its running lean right now with the 22lb injectors and stock FPR, I'm gonna swap in the 24lb'ers and then an AFPR. Definately need more fuel with all the air it's getting now
It was a fairly easy swap just did everthing on http://www.lt1intake.com/ also got the dist spacer and t-stat housing from John. I also milled down and filled the EGR so I could keep my large dist, it clears by about a 1/4". It would have been alot easier if I would have had late model heads PITA with the early style bolt angle.
The clamps are temporary , I'm making brackets and will clean and detail later. I just wanted to test everything first. So far 2 weeks and about 300 miles no problems or leaks No cooling issues either, I was a lil worried about the remote set up.
I'm very happy with it so far and best of all I've got under $300 total in it Hope to get to the drag strip next month to get it tuned
