Going to put a less sensitive LT4 knock Sensor Module in my 95' LT1. Do I think I need one especially with Roller Rockers.I hear good reviews about this Mod...Anyone do this?

I have read that if you don't you WILL get your ignition timing retarded by the overly sensitive knock senor, ie. you'll lose power, and fuel mileage never good. Since you are going to run Roller Rockers I would go with it. Doesn't add anything by itself, but with other stuff a good idea. At least this is what I read somewhere. Probley here in the abyess of an old thread.

Here's what I read is the story behind the LT4 Module:

When GM decided to use roller rockers on the LT4 their testing showed excessive false knock. The address the Knock Module was modified (re-programmed) to be less sensitive to the additional noise (vibration) caused by the RRs. So, yes, if your valve train (rockers) are acting the same, then the LT4 Module is the way to go.

Just as a precaution, when I built my 388 LT1, I swapped to a LT4 Module. However, I never did any scanning to see if there was any benefit or whether my engine was experiencing false knock timing retard, but I figured the swap wouldn't hurt.

Not expensive and easy to install.
