Question: lubricant

is it ok to use silicone spray lubricant instead of white lithium grease on door hinges etc.

I use it and grease is grease .In my opinion silicon lasts longer and is less messy .

It's ok to use, but it is actually too light of a lubricant for door hinges. It would be better than not using any lube at all though. Vette boy is right, white lithium lube is messy and not a pretty sight to look at. I clean all I can after using white lithium, but you never seem to get it all off.....
