Lug nut torque?

Man RA, that floor is AMAZING! :eek Best looking I've seen!:BOW Was laying it out difficult? That looks like the route I might take. I've looked at all the floor coverings, and all you read about is them "lifting." Love the checkered pattern. Nice job!!

Floor is next...

Man, this thread took a hard left turn, guess we should'a signaled first. :L

Nope....

Not a "star pattern" as much as tightening each in sequence directly across from each other. ;)

WRONG!
...........tightening in a "star pattern" IS tightening across from eachother...you are forgiven:)

Hey guys...

Y'all may want to lighten up a bit on Ken. Notice the winking smiley face in his post? I believe he used it to indicate he was pulling everyone's (virtual) leg. He was joking - but there isn't a "tongue-in-cheek" smiley face! :L

And I DID check my owner's manual... it is 100 lb-ft torque for wheel nuts.

Hey Ken!

How many lugs are directly opposite each other on a 5 bolt hub?;) ;) Nudge, nudge? Star pattern, wheel lock last.
I'm enjoying this thread. Make me want to tear down my garage and build a new one. Too bad it's attached to my house.:L

Sorry '04 Torch Red... I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. :) Since you used a smile instead of a wink I thought you were serious. I see what you mean about too sensitive. ;LOL

btw...yank on your own "virtual" leg
BTW - I don't have one.

100 pounds. I torque in a star pattern in increments of 50, 75, 100 pounds.

I would agree with this. They should be tightened in stages.
