Does anyone know the torque specs for the lug nuts on a 1997 corvette?
Please let me know.
I take the wheels off and clean the inside a couple of times a year.
Don't want to warp the rotors.
Thanks

Yep, c5y2k is correct. Also, gradually tighten each one until you get to 100 ft lbs.

:thumb I agree! I torque to 60lbs in a cross pattern first, then go up to 100ftlbs. 12yrs, come 11/3/09, with no cracks or problems.

A word of advice, If you get new tires go home and loosen each wheel lug nut and retighten each one in incriments mentioned above. Raised up of course. Most of those knuckleheads at tire stores set there air wrenchs above 100 lbs. and start in a circular pattern, which is a good way to warp a aluminum wheel.

When purchasing tires at Wal-Mart, they torq the lug nuts with a torq wrench and have 2 other people check them before you get your car back. I quess someone did not do it right once, and the law suite has caused a problem?
