It seems that the Magnetic Ride Control is a better choice than the Z51 if the C6 is not used for the track. Is that a fair assumption? How is the Z51 on regular roads that are not always smooth?

Great question, I would love to know the answer myself. It makes sense that the magnteic ride control would give you a smoother ride, but at some sacrifice of handling...

Just a thought, would love to hear the opinion of someone who knows for sure.:cool

Earlier this year C&D compared the various C5 suspension options and jumbed the tires around too. I was disappointed that the Mag ride couldn't match either the Z51 or Z06 regardless of how it was tired. BUT there was almost no difference between a Z51 coupe with Z06 tires and wheels and the Z06 itself - handling wise. When I get home I'll see if I can find the article.

I was hoping the Mag Ride would turn it up a notch this year, but now that the Z51 option has so much more content, I suspect that I will go that route. I want the crossdrilled rotors!

Thanks for the link. I think my wife threw my mag away.
