Took a ride last night with my wife. Went for aboout 40 miles or so, along A1A running aong the Atlatic Ocean. It is the first time in 4 years since getting this "project car" that I really took a ride. It's been all work. Complete interior, dash, gauges. One of the more tidious projects was the windows. The guy that painted the car, pasted away. His family came down and took all my his (and mine) possesions. No side glass, and all the little bushings, rollers, pins etc. That secure the window. What a PITA!! :mad Anyhow it was soooooooo much damm fun last night. I kept staring at the new digital gauges, almost expecting something to go wrong! It never did.:beer Then on the way home the child in me came out. There was a new 05 mustang GT (god they are everywhere down here) I purposly moved a few lanes over, caught him at the light. He reved, I also did, Then bye-bye, It was then that I remembered I even replaced the mirriors!!! It wasn't even a contest. My wife said she enjoyed the night so mucn until then, for me it was a perfect ending.:W

You are not kinding, blasting over the Wabasso bridge!! I am in PB county, but bought property in hope sound, just south of Stuart. Love going to Sebasian, throw down some cold ones a Earls hide away on Idian River dr.

My first job out of college took me to Vero Beach, FL. Sebastian was a little dot on the map. I think Earls use to be one of my customers (was in the wine business). Took my Waverunner to Sebastian inlet and the intercoastal. Good times there.

Sounds like you had a great time. Sharp looking Vette and such a beautiful engine compartment. I have a question though, what are the gauges in the engine compartment? I am guessing you don't have AC as those gauges look like they have plenty of space too.

very nice I can't imagine waiting 4.5 years for your vet to be done, mines only 1.5 year and should be ready next week!!!!bill:w

Actully I just looked at the bill of sale, it's been a little over 3 years, Jan,02. sure seems like forever. Finally got the home and garage done. Once that was over with, it went quick. I have done more in 3 months than in 3 years!!

Initally I had them laying around, and since I pulled everything I wanted gauges for the basics. oil, temp. I actlly like them now, I plan on leaving them there. It's nice to have "back-up" analog to the digitals. And you can see the basics when fooling around in the engine area. A/c has been removed. Will install a new R-4 as it's gettin hot again. The shroud removal, and fan/fan cluch free-ed up alot of room. Have had not heat issues with the elec. water pump, and elec. fan set-up.

Good Old Earl's

I spent a "few" nights at Earl's this March working my way from Marathon in the Keys to Daytona for Bike Week. Rumor has it that Earl's was one of the few places spared by the hurricanes last year. There was still many a big home with tarps on the roofs on the "trail."
