Man, I feel stupid!!!

I just replaced another EGR temp switch. Upon removal I checked out the top part of the "broken" one and saw that the wire that goes into it is also threaded! The "broken" one was loose at the top so I thought that it was really bad. I guess that was what was giving me the good 'ole 32! Anyway just an FYI, at O'Reiley auto parts they have 2 different switches on file. One has a longer wire than the other. Other than that they look the same.

No it did not!!! This is killing me!! I have reaplaced the EGR, EGR tube, EGR temp switch, nothing seems to work! I was going to look at the solenoid today, but couldn't find it! The Haynes manual says it is on the right side by the distributor. Well, I don't see it! My 32 comes on at about 204-215 on the oil temp. Where is the solenoid??? Thanks!

Everyone who owns an early c4 gets the code 32 once in a while, there was a thread on this subject awhile back, and the consensus AFAIR was that there was a factory defect in the computer. Many people have tried and failed to find a sure cure for this problem, maybe it's one of the sensors somewhere on the engine. If the car is otherwise running okay, I wouldn't worry about it.

Wonder if the 02 sensor is bad? Might want to have it looked at.
