Manifold color

Is there a general rule for the color of the intake manifolds? What color should the intake manifold be for my 66 SB? :confused I notice some are orange and some are grey.

the 300hp 327's were cast and painted the orange of the block.
The 350hp motor had an aluminum manifold and were silver or natural color- not the chevy orange color of the block like the lower hp motor had

It's the 300hp. and the manifold is orange. As per a previous thread (ignition shielding), I found out I had a manifold from a 68. I was a bit shocked :eek and thought that I should change it, but it is running so good, that I figure why mess with it, and at least it's the right color. Thanks.

Upper is aluminum. Lower is cast iron. I'm a bit of a packrat.
