manual tranmission

I have a 1979 vette.

I have a 1979 vette and it has a 350 turbo automatic transmission.I would like to put a manual transmission in.Need to know what parts i will need to install transmission,and if is a pain putting in.THANK MARK S

You're going to need a pedal setup, clutch linkage, bell housing, tranny, check your block to see if there is a tapped hole for the linkage, should be but not all blocks have it.
Are you going for a complete 5 spd kit?
Your diff probably has 308 gears with the base setup you have. Check on the gearing of the tranny you want to use.

Kiesler makes a automatic-to-manual transmission conversion kit. Supposedly, it has everything needed to do the switch over - including the console faceplate.
